My Fall Beauty Routine 2021

My fall beauty routine is a mix of tried-and-true products I've been using for a while and also some newbies on my shelf!

The drop in humidity can affect my skin, so I tend to swap products throughout the year. When it's hot out my skin is normal-to-oily and when it's cold, my skin is normal-to-dry.

Generally speaking, I seek beauty ingredients for hydration and collagen to maintain a smooth and glow-y complexion. Keep reading to see why these products are part of my fall beauty routine:

Cleansers

Living Libations Seabuckthorn Best Skin Ever is an eight ingredient oil that is actually an all-in-one cleanser, exfoliator, and moisturizer. I love using it in the mornings to oil cleanse (fun fact: oil cleansing is an ancient Ayurvedic practice). I apply this on a dry face, like I'm massaging my face here. Then, I take a washcloth and soak it with warm water to remove the oil from my face.

Skinesque Enzyme Cleansing Powder contains papaya enzymes to remove impurities and gently exfoliate. It's activated with water, so it is also travel-friendly. The powder cleanser lasts super long and it leaves my face feeling super smooth and clean.

Serums & Oils

Otto Skingood's The Multitasker Night Serum contains niacinamide. This serum helps exfoliate dull, damaged skin cells, calms breakouts and reduces redness.

Warning: At first, your skin might "purge" and break out a bit but after that period is over, I first apply Otto Skin Goods The Ordinary Retinol .5% in Squalane

Little Skin Fact: Retinol and Niacinamide are two anti-aging ingredients that are safe to pair and cant make retinol easier to use.

Niacinamide helps hydrate the skin, which reducs the risk of irritation caused by retinol.

What makes Ranavat’s Radiant Rani oil powerful is the saffron, which is rich in Vitamin C.

It feels extra luxurious, brightens dark circles and overall gives my skin an amazing glow. I use this every single day on my face and décolletage.

Ama Sea Beauty SeaGlo Microalgae Oil offers the skin Omega 3, 6 & 9, Vitamin B, C, D and E. This oil naturally hydrates and strengths the skin’s moisture barrier.

I use it on my skin, hair and nails for a silky smooth with a natural, radiant glow. It’s a nourishing oil for the face and body, especially as we move into colder seasons.

Moisturizer

Graydon Phyto Clear Botanical Retinol Gel Cream is a gel-like moisturizer formulated with two vegan-friendly alternatives to retinol. It absorbs into the skin nicely and my face loves it.

Phyto clear is rich in vitamin C, E, omega-3, beta-carotene, magnesium & zinc to relieve redness, firm and hydrate skin. There's also vitamin E rich neem oil to plump the skin and relieve redness.

SPF…all day every day!

Supergoop Mineral Mattescreen SPF 40 is a mineral sunscreen. Compared to physical sunscreens that sink into the skin, mineral sunscreens basically sit on top. It’s good for acne prone skin and also helps prevent "maskne" because it adds a protective layer between your skin and your mask.

Mattescreen leaves a matte finish and there's also a little tint to it. I find that it diminishes the look of my pores and it's perfect for daily "no makeup" days

P.S. If you are in Philly, you can find Skinesque, Otto Skin Goods, Ranavat and Graydon at The Indie Shelf!
